Fine art photography is the combination of beauty and grace put in motion. This black and white photo is a dramatic representation of balance and skill that performance art requires. Ballet is a skilled form of dance that requires unique strength and ability that is beautifully captured with this snapshot of movement at its most basic form. This form of simplistic art needs nothing more than the classic ballet pose performed by Jamie as her skin looks transparent attached to the black background. This photograph combines elegance with dark contrasting color to create a distinct look.

I love to present works that challenge our perceptions of the world around us. For example, our relationship to advertising visuals and slogans is often a complex one. When we take these artificial concepts, and combine them with an example of humanity that has been stripped down to its core, the results can be quite fascinating. I am a Belgian artist with interests in both classical and contemporary art. I particularly love the opportunity to bring those things together in the most unique ways I can imagine. While you can find examples of holiday pieces, or tranquil scenes of nature or animals, I am particularly fond of pieces that combine classic art elements with modern sensibilities.
