The Mercedes W 196 Silver Arrow from 1954 is a high-speed sports car that has been an inspiration for many movies and TV shows. It was the most successful German car in its day and it was also one of the first to incorporate everything into one car. It featured air suspension on all four tires, it was powered by a newly developed Mercedes-Benz engine and it set a new benchmark for speed. All this meant that it won many races and it still holds the record for being the most successful German car during its time. Many Mercedes enthusiasts keep this car as a classic.
Today you can find a Mercedes W 196 Silver Arrow that have been preserved by their owners through the Mercedes car museum in Stuttgart, Germany, or you can purchase a vintage model.
