There is something about this scene that makes us think of something like 2001 Space Odyssey. If nothing else, we feel as though this is a moment we could only come to under strange circumstances. All of the visuals in this fine art piece are things we know exist. We can imagine a lighthouse. We can imagine a small strip of land. We can imagine water, and we can certainly imagine the moon. However, the way in which all of these things come together here has a surreal quality. This unique piece is available as framed wall art or as canvas wall art.
About Jan Keteleer
I love to present works that challenge our perceptions of the world around us. For example, our relationship to advertising visuals and slogans is often a complex one. When we take these artificial concepts, and combine them with an example of humanity that has been stripped down to its core, the results can be quite fascinating. I am a Belgian artist with interests in both classical and contemporary art. I particularly love the opportunity to bring those things together in the most unique ways I can imagine. While you can find examples of holiday pieces, or tranquil scenes of nature or animals, I am particularly fond of pieces that combine classic art elements with modern sensibilities.
