This fine art piece from Jan Keteleer displays the powerful imagery of an elephant in motion. While this image can be arresting unto itself, a deeper look reveals something considerably more tragic. It shows us the presence of a melting sun, as well. These two images combine in such a way as to create a powerful message. If we do not do something about climate change, even the extraordinary elephants will no longer have a place of which to call their own. This is a visually striking piece on a number of levels. It is not difficult by any means to imagine it in your space.

I love to present works that challenge our perceptions of the world around us. For example, our relationship to advertising visuals and slogans is often a complex one. When we take these artificial concepts, and combine them with an example of humanity that has been stripped down to its core, the results can be quite fascinating. I am a Belgian artist with interests in both classical and contemporary art. I particularly love the opportunity to bring those things together in the most unique ways I can imagine. While you can find examples of holiday pieces, or tranquil scenes of nature or animals, I am particularly fond of pieces that combine classic art elements with modern sensibilities.
