On a beautiful day, we feel the ease of watching two cows drinking water from what is likely a small lake. They are absorbed wholly in their activity. There is something profoundly serene about this visual. We watch the cows relaxing, enjoying the water. We take in the amazing natural scene that surrounds them. There are some truly marvelous details in these visuals. Within the details, we find it easy to lose ourselves in everything this quiet piece has to say. This is a moment in time we can appreciate. About Jan Keteleer
I love to present works that challenge our perceptions of the world around us. For example, our relationship to advertising visuals and slogans is often a complex one. When we take these artificial concepts, and combine them with an example of humanity that has been stripped down to its core, the results can be quite fascinating. I am a Belgian artist with interests in both classical and contemporary art. I particularly love the opportunity to bring those things together in the most unique ways I can imagine.
