Two deer have approached a snowman in the woods. This is a magical image, to be sure. At the same time, it is also an image that can easily stir the imagination. We look at the deer, and we can’t help but wonder what they might be thinking about. We see that they are completely absorbed in the presence of this snowman. The snowman doesn’t seem to be too bothered by their presence either. We don’t know what the deer are going to do next, but we would like to imagine that they will leave this appealing snowman where he is.

I love to present works that challenge our perceptions of the world around us. For example, our relationship to advertising visuals and slogans is often a complex one. When we take these artificial concepts, and combine them with an example of humanity that has been stripped down to its core, the results can be quite fascinating. I am a Belgian artist with interests in both classical and contemporary art. I particularly love the opportunity to bring those things together in the most unique ways I can imagine. While you can find examples of holiday pieces, or tranquil scenes of nature or animals, I am particularly fond of pieces that combine classic art elements with modern sensibilities.
