Tranquil waters ripple as two young African girls glide across the lake, focused on the days catch. Jan Keteleer beautifully captures a quiet moment of necessity and bonding in this soulful 40x40cm acrylic painting.
Through loose, expressive brushstrokes, Keteleer evokes the warmth and vibrancy of the African landscape. The figures seem to emerge organically from the rich impasto background, connected to the earth and water around them. Their leaning poses and intent gazes convey a dignity and grace beyond their years.
Sparking imagination and nostalgia alike, "African Girls Go Fishing" inspires us to appreciate the simple joys of life. Its colorful palette and textured surface infuse your space with the atmosphere of Africa. Framed in sleek black wood, this hand-signed artwork makes a meaningful addition to any cultured home.
Let the natural beauty and human connection at the heart of Keteleers painting wash over you. Transport yourself to the tranquil lake...

While you can find examples of holiday pieces, or tranquil scenes of nature or animals, I am particularly fond of pieces that combine classic art elements with modern sensibilities. Through my portfolio, you can find examples...
