A Siamese cat is looking, but at what? Surrounded by beautiful flowers, standing on a country road, the Siamese Cat in this piece is perhaps staring back at the viewer. However, it is entirely possible that the cat is looking at something else entirely. Whatever the Siamese is staring at, it certainly seems to be something that has caught them slightly by surprise. What happens next is anyone’s guess. Considering the light, breezy day the Siamese appears to be having, it is likely something pleasant. I love to present works that challenge our perceptions of the world around us. For example, our relationship to advertising visuals and slogans is often a complex one. When we take these artificial concepts, and combine them with an example of humanity that has been stripped down to its core, the results can be quite fascinating.
