Many people picture waterlilies, and they envision something soft, gentle. You can certainly agree with that definition when you look over this first of two paintings to feature waterlilies. The gentleness emanating from this painting is so profound, you can easily imagine something like this in a living room or bedroom. In other words, wherever you may want to demand peace, this painting would be a good way to make sure others understand. There is something tranquil about this piece that gives us the need to look deep within ourselves, regardless of what might actually exist beneath the humble surface.

I love to present works that challenge our perceptions of the world around us. For example, our relationship to advertising visuals and slogans is often a complex one. When we take these artificial concepts, and combine them with an example of humanity that has been stripped down to its core, the results can be quite fascinating. I am a Belgian artist with interests in both classical and contemporary art. I particularly love the opportunity to bring those things together in the most unique ways I can imagine.
