Jamie is a professional classical dancer posing to create fine art. This bold and beautiful black and white photo of her shows an eloquent pose, which leaves her open to vulnerability. Her nudity also leaves her open and vulnerable making this piece cohesive in thought. The angle of the image is also very interesting. You are able to view the beautiful musculature of the model and the contours of her body. This pose leaves the viewer to imagine what the model is actually doing or involved in when the picture was taken, thus leaving many with the feeling of mystery
About Jan Keteleer
I love to present works that challenge our perceptions of the world around us. For example, our relationship to advertising visuals and slogans is often a complex one. When we take these artificial concepts, and combine them with an example of humanity that has been stripped down to its core, the results can be quite fascinating. I am a Belgian artist with interests in both classical and contemporary art. I particularly love the opportunity to bring those things together in the most unique ways I can imagine.
