In many parts of the world, lighthouses are such a natural part of the landscape, we sometimes forget that any lighthouse deserves to be regarded as a wonderful example of what engineering is truly capable of. The need for lighthouses isn’t as great as it used to be, but there is no question that these small, often historical monuments still have a place in our fast-paced, technology-heavy society. There is something ancient and compelling about this image, which combines a detailed lighthouse with a background of design specs. Available as t-shirts, wall art, or as interior décor products.
About Jan Keteleer
I love to present works that challenge our perceptions of the world around us. For example, our relationship to advertising visuals and slogans is often a complex one. When we take these artificial concepts, and combine them with an example of humanity that has been stripped down to its core, the results can be quite fascinating. I am a Belgian artist with interests in both classical and contemporary art. I particularly love the opportunity to bring those things together in the most unique ways I can imagine.
