This black and white nude study introduces us to a startling, fascinating figure. This is a wonderful depiction of just one example of the forms humanity can take. There is something absolutely stunning about this nude study. We wonder about the person in this piece. We are drawn in to their face, which is obscured for the most part. We have only a suggestion of the eyes, in addition to lips that do not seem to be expressing a distinct emotion. This piece invites conversation and speculation. About Jan Keteleer
I love to present works that challenge our perceptions of the world around us. For example, our relationship to advertising visuals and slogans is often a complex one. When we take these artificial concepts, and combine them with an example of humanity that has been stripped down to its core, the results can be quite fascinating. I am a Belgian artist with interests in both classical and contemporary art. I particularly love the opportunity to bring those things together in the most unique ways I can imagine.
