It is interesting indeed that a piece called Purity No 3 would feature a nude form in a blurred form. We can certainly guess that the body is female, but it is ultimately difficult to say for absolute certain. This is a piece in which the subject seems to sinking into something, or slipping into some other world entirely. There is something deep and rich to the mystery suggested by this piece, which is based upon the first black/white photographs to create light atmosphere via long exposure times.
