This black and white photo brings together beauty and simplicity to create a piece of fine art of the highest quality. This photo shows you a behind the scenes look into the world of ballet, as it was taken by accident when the model was not prepared. The lack of posing in this photo makes it seem real, simple, and authentic. The nude model, Annie, is a professional dancer, but this photo allows you to get a glimpse of the real person behind the ballerina. She was unprepared for this photo, and is therefore not performing the classic ballet pose that she was planning on demonstrating.

I love to present works that challenge our perceptions of the world around us. For example, our relationship to advertising visuals and slogans is often a complex one. When we take these artificial concepts, and combine them with an example of humanity that has been stripped down to its core, the results can be quite fascinating. I am a Belgian artist with interests in both classical and contemporary art. I particularly love the opportunity to bring those things together in the most unique ways I can imagine. While you can find examples of holiday pieces, or tranquil scenes of nature or animals, I am particularly fond of pieces that combine classic art elements with modern sensibilities.
