A naked woman is lost in thought while the wind blows through her hair. Blow...could be a phrase of many romance based paintings. For centuries, women have been portrayed naked; even in the most recent art history, girls and women are depicted naked as an ode to the human body. The series made by Jan Keteleer is based on both the old romantic art and the works made by various Pop Art artists on the theme of female nudity.

I love to present works that challenge our perceptions of the world around us. For example, our relationship to advertising visuals and slogans is often a complex one. When we take these artificial concepts, and combine them with an example of humanity that has been stripped down to its core, the results can be quite fascinating. I am a Belgian artist with interests in both classical and contemporary art. I particularly love the opportunity to bring those things together in the most unique ways I can imagine. While you can find examples of holiday pieces, or tranquil scenes of nature or animals, I am particularly fond of pieces that combine classic art elements with modern sensibilities.
