Description
The Maserati 3500 GT is a true sporting classic. This automobile was one of the first "GT" models introduced by Maserati. It was also one of the first "sports" cars to use the horizontally mounted 2.0-liter engine. The car weighed 2,025 pounds (not counting the fuel) and had a rear-wheel drive. It was introduced in America in 1960 and sold by Maserati of Italy through J.C. Phillips.
The Maserati 3500 GT is considering a true sports and luxury car because of its two seats, four-wheel drive, long hood, and long front overhang. It is also well crafted and comfortable. One reviewer described it as having a "longer body line than a typical Italian sports car of the time, which explains the long hood. It's also got very long front overhang, meaning the back is nearly straight. These kinds of bodies were really popular with hot rodders back then and were favored by Maserati designers." All of these characteristics make this a true classic.
The Maserati 3500 GT is well worth viewing if you have the opportunity. It is rare to find one like it, and it is also relatively affordable considering how much it was in production. It is one of the most successful and popular of all Maserati cars. It is also a favorite of many people who like to collect sports cars and race them.
