Artist's Description
There is no question that this is a busy harbor. We can imagine pulling away from this beautiful fine art piece to see a harbor that is brimming with humanity, machinery, and activity. However, since we cannot do this, we appreciate the chance to focus intently on this smaller scene. On a beautiful day, we see some small towboats in the harbor. They are a stark contrast to the larger structures all around them. This is visually arresting image, and it is available in the form of wall art. This outdoor scene allows us to really absorb the details of the everyday.

I love to present works that challenge our perceptions of the world around us. For example, our relationship to advertising visuals and slogans is often a complex one. When we take these artificial concepts, and combine them with an example of humanity that has been stripped down to its core, the results can be quite fascinating. I am a Belgian artist with interests in both classical and contemporary art. I particularly love the opportunity to bring those things together in the most unique ways I can imagine. While you can find examples of holiday pieces, or tranquil scenes of nature or animals, I am particularly fond of pieces that combine classic art elements with modern sensibilities.
