Description
The Ferrari 250 Testa Rossa is a racing car from the 50's and 60's of the Italian brand Ferrari. These cars were lord and master in their racing classes. Variants of this model won the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1958, 1960 and 1961. They were closely related to the rest of the 250 series, especially the legendary 250 GTO.
In total, only 34 Testa Rossa's were produced between 1956 and 1961. "Testa Rossa" means "red head", which refers to the red coloured cylinder heads. Of the best-known model, the 250 TR, only two factory and nineteen customer cars were built between '57 and '58. After the 250 GTO, the Testa Rossa is the most valuable Ferrari, with cars auctioned for more than six million euros[1]. The very first car (which competed in the 1958 Le Mans 24 Hours) was sold in 2011 for more than 11.4 million euros, a record price at the time for a Ferrari TR
