There is something about the moon on a clear night. True, this is a profoundly romantic image, but it’s important to remember that this romance can be expressed in so many different ways. Sometimes, we simply feel romantic for a spellbinding night, in which we have to do nothing more than sit quietly amongst nature, look at the sky, and dream. This beautiful painting depicts Amy and her beagle Buddy enjoying a moment together. The sky compels their attention, and it isn’t difficult to see why. I love to present works that challenge our perceptions of the world around us. For example, our relationship to advertising visuals and slogans is often a complex one. When we take these artificial concepts, and combine them with an example of humanity that has been stripped down to its core, the results can be quite fascinating. I am a Belgian artist with interests in both classical and contemporary art. I particularly love the opportunity to bring those things together in the most unique ways I can imagine.
